Maine Mountains

As you travel up the rivers, you quickly realize that Western Maine is not flat. While the elevation of our peaks do not compare to the huge mountains in Nepal, the Alps or the Rockies, they have been around for eons. Some of the worst weather ever recoded in the world came from the summit of Mount Washington, located right next door. They are challenging to fly through and to hike on.
