My 2021 goal is to take as many aerial shots as I can of the numerous lighthouses along the Maine coast. Preferably, I’ll get pictures in various seasons under various lighting conditions. I would enjoy working with others who might be interested in the same subject matter, either through photography, art or writing.
As the polar ice caps melt and glaciers disappear, these images might be useful for tracking sea rise. Instead of captioning the images with date, time and altitude information, I will provide this technical data to researchers who are interested in it. Drop me a line, if you want this data.
Where feasible, links about the lighthouses will be added to the web pages. If you have additional information you’d like to share about a lighthouse, please let me know.
As always, these images are available for purchase. Some are available at local shops, here in Maine. I normally shoot between 35 and 75 images of each lighthouse, so there are many more shots than I display on these web pages. I’m now shooting with a 61 MP camera, which gives me and potentially you, lots of cropping capabilities. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks
