Heading to Greenville, ME on Sunday Aug 5
I’ll be leaving Brunswick (KBXM) a little before 9:00 AM. The flight path will be along the Kennebec River to Skowhegan, then directly to Greenville (3B1). It will be a direct flight back to KBXM. If you’re interested in going, call, text or email.
Flying to Portland, Maine
Flying again
A quick flight up the coast. Over flew Friendship Harbor. Gorgeous day to be flying.
Deep into Fall
As of a few days ago, Mt Washington received its first coating of snow. Judging by the freezing rain we are getting along the coast tonight, I’m sure the foot hills are also white tonight.
Late Summer Pemaquid Point, Maine
Today was an hazy summer day, not so great for picture taking but a very smooth day to fly.
Pownal Courthouse
This Courthouse was built in the 1760’s and according to Wikipedia is the only surviving precolonial Courthouse in Maine. John Adams came all the way from Boston, by boat, to try a case here. On occasion, the Maine Supreme Court will use this early venue.
This Courthouse is part of my Kennebec River tour.
Lands End – Bailey Island, Maine
It’s still summer, but in the evening and morning you can feel a slight chill in the air. But Lands End is still looking very summery.
A Great Day to Fly…
A great day to fly over Popham Beach if you are not at the beach.
Fort Baldwin or is it Popham
It turns out there is a lot to see at Fort Baldwin. While the Fort itself is a popular tourist destination, there are other interesting things to see at this location in Mid Coast Maine.
