For a little maintenance work at Mac Air. Those guys delivered, all good.
Took some videos on the way down and on the way back, here’s a quick view of flying into Portland (KPWM).

A quick flight up the coast. Over flew Friendship Harbor. Gorgeous day to be flying.
From Merrymeeting Bay to Brunswick, Maine.
I used to love winter. I was an avid skier, liked to snowshoe, the frosty air invigorated me. No longer, it is cold and dark. But there are lots of beautiful sights in the winter, plus it is a good time to learn new photo and video software. And, airplanes love the cold, my plane jumps off the runway with hardly any takeoff roll due to the cold, dense air.
For those interested, I’m using iMovie on both the iPad and a nice new Mac Book Pro. I am also using Final Cut Pro on the laptop. For stills, I am back to Adobe’s Lightroom and Photoshop. I’m even dabbling with GarageBand for sound tracks, but think I’ll mostly be using the iPad’s iMovie soundtracks.
As of a few days ago, Mt Washington received its first coating of snow. Judging by the freezing rain we are getting along the coast tonight, I’m sure the foot hills are also white tonight.
Today was an hazy summer day, not so great for picture taking but a very smooth day to fly.
This Courthouse was built in the 1760’s and according to Wikipedia is the only surviving precolonial Courthouse in Maine. John Adams came all the way from Boston, by boat, to try a case here. On occasion, the Maine Supreme Court will use this early venue.
This Courthouse is part of my Kennebec River tour.
It’s still summer, but in the evening and morning you can feel a slight chill in the air. But Lands End is still looking very summery.
A great day to fly over Popham Beach if you are not at the beach.
